preschool party!

Yesterday was the little pumpkin's valentine class party and parents were welcome to attend. Oh my, the cuteness was too much! Her teachers did an amazing job planning fun activities for the littles to enjoy. When we got there, Mrs. Bryan was going over the instructions for their party stations, but check out Grace & Lovi...holding hands - so sweet!!! The class was divided into 4 groups and these 3 pretty girls were paired up together...Grace, Lovi, Kaylen. It was hard to get pics of everyone since we rotated with our group, but I managed to catch a couple...here are the boys hard at work on their love bugs. Kaylen showing off her love bug! McKinley and her sweet Mama! Decorating heart-shaped cupcakes...
Lance was able to take off work to come to the party and he walked in just as the girls were decorating their cupcakes. Grace was sooooooo excited to see her Daddy!
Showing off her masterpiece! Making a princess crown... 3 Sweet Princesses! Name sequence time! Soooooooo sweet! Mrs. Peterson made the kids the sweetest "mailboxes" to put their valentines to each other. Love them! Time to exchange valentines! I think Grace's favorite thing was the lipgloss her friend Julia gave her - she wasted no time trying it on. Then Lance had a surprise for her...one of her mini lalaloopsy dolls was hiding out in his shirt pocket (yes, the confiscated one from this morning...it was that kind of a morning). Time for treats. Can you say SUGAR HIGH???!
Thank goodness it was warm enough for them to go run around at the park!
THANK YOU Mimi for watching Hudson so that Lance and I could both attend Grace's party! Hope you all had a super sweet Valentine's Day!

preschool treats

What's a preschool party without some cute treats, right?
The little pumpkin helped me stuff these little bags with treats for her friends. So what did we put in there???
Our "Perfect Pair" marshmallow pops, of course! These funnied-up lollies (idea from HERE). Grace's little buddy Julien...he, he, he too funny! Thank you Angela for sending me his pic! Remember the crayon melts??? Here they are! We added some "love ticket" foam stickers, some flash cards, some Krispy Kreme free donut coupons, and of course LOTS of candy and there you have it...preschool v-day loot bags! Of course we couldn't forget the little pumpkin's sweet teachers... So pretty all packed up and ready to go... Did you make some cute valentine treats for your littles?
I'd love to see them and add them to my idea file!

the family that plays together...

...stays together!

Spring decided to give us a little peek-a-boo this weekend and we couldn't have been happier!Time to burn off some of that energy at the park! I want to go fast like that! The little pumpkin had been begging to go to the park for weeks so finally her wish was granted. My 3 loves... Back at home we decided to bring out the littles' valentine goodies in our annual buckets...

Always, always, always...
I want what YOU have. Both ways! Hmmm...I didn't know "peppermint" was a Valentine flavor??? he he he Poor Hudson. As soon as his lollipop came out of his bucket it fell to the floor and shattered. Not too happy to have to share her lollie with her little brother. The little pumpkin's treats... Most of Hudson's treats...the rest were scattered every which way. Hope you all had a fun, family-filled V-Day!

playing catch-up

2 class parties
1 field trip
1 crazy car adventure
Sewing Club
Valentine's Day
and LOTS of homemade goodies
= no time for blogging

and that doesn't even include the 2 birthdays (Lance & Papa J) coming this week!

Good news is everybody is back 100% healthy, the weather has been just beautiful (hello, neighborhood park!) and I even managed to take my SUV to the car wash for a very needed inside & outside detail job (what is it about a clean car that drives so much better???) :)

So let's start with Hudson's school valentines, since his party was first.

Yummy treats for his sweet MDO teachers, Mrs. Brooke, Mrs. Rebekah, and Mrs. Cheryl, the Director. There's something about homemade chocolate chip cookies that just says LOVE...
More warm & gooey chocolate chip cookies on fun rocket ship melamine plates for his little buddies. Of course a fun little sticker makes everything better!Personalized labels from HERE.

And of course, what's a school party without a little sugar rush... The Crunch mini bars were his favorite ;)

And don't worry, he burned off all that sugar in no time. This little guy is WILD & CRAZY.

This week's tricks...
- climbing the built-ins like a ladder
- stuffing his whole self into the oven, yes, the oven
- taking out all the laundry in the dryer to find himself a new cozy little spot
- taste-testing playdough and dog food
- trying to "love" on our fish...twice
- playing construction hammer on our mirror; and

- eating a mini pack of m&m's, wrapper included.

But did I mention he gives the best hugs, counts to 10 in the sweetest voice, loves to sing Old McDonald, and melts my heart every time he climbs onto my lap, book in hand, and says "Read it"???...............Mama loves you, my little tornado!

Please, please continue to pray for Kate with every fiber of your being. Let's continue to storm the gates of heaven interceding on her behalf.

rainy/snowy day fun

Please ignore the messy counter...we're playing catch up on all our usual crafting since last week's hiatus. I wasn't sure if Hudson would be into this craft or not, but he loved the excuse to tear up crayons...and he only tried to eat the orange ones...cheeto resemblence? ;) My resident princess gets excited about pink and
aqua blue...hmmm, wonder where she gets that? Aren't they pretty? Click HERE for more on how to "bake" them :)

Heart-shaped silicone baking tray: Target Dollar Spot
(2 for $2.50).

Print THIS cute card courtesy of the long thread and you've got a fun {almost free} school valentine for the itty bitties. This first batch will be part of the little pumpkin's valentine treat bags for her preschool class.

More on that soon!

brothers and sisters...

It starts early...
Wanting what we don't have.

Brother & Sister. Two swirly lollies. But wait. Yours is a teenie tiney different than mine. I.WANT.IT. HA, HA, I got it! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Fine. But on my terms. I'll show you... I changed my mind. I want it BACK! Admitting defeat. For now...A little unfair size advantage. The End.

They really do love each other. Really.
