mama, I want a juicy cake

It all started with me asking the little pumpkin what type of birthday party she wanted to have.  She thought about it for a while and came back with, "Mama, I want a BIG juicy strawberry cake.  A PINK juicy cake."

Let the party planning begin...
Cupcake liners and wire stands from Bake It Pretty

And then just to keep things interesting, she said...."I want George cupcakes too" :)  Hmm...okay.  The little pumpkin LOVES birthdays.  A girl after my own heart :)

From time to time she'll surprise me by recalling one of her little friends' birthdays and telling me all about it - the birthday kid's name, the theme, what they did, and of course how much fun she had.

So Strawberry Shortcake it is.  Even better, Vintage Strawberry Shortcake I LoVE it!  But most of all I love that little pumpkin!

Fun!!! My younger daughter Emily had a Strawberry Shortcake party when she turned 2. I'll have to remember what all we did and find some pics for you. I love Strawberry Shortcake! My mom even still has all of MY old SS dolls. They still smell the same!

Have fun planning!!!

PS - I am planning a "Vintage Circus" party for Carter's 1st bday - any ideas???? =)

Heather~ I so wish I had kept some of my SS dolls :( Would love to see pics from your daughter's party!

I L-O-V-E vintage circus!!! Carter's birthday is going to be so cute!

Hudson's nursery was going to be vintage circus (minus the clowns - not a big clown person :) but my hubby wasn't crazy about the idea so we did a switcheroo. I've been collecting vintage circus party stuff though for his birthday but now I'm undecided between that and a Dr. Seuss themed birthday since Mr. Brown Can Moo is his favorite book. I have lots of files and links saved for the circus theme so leave me a way to contact you and I'll email them to you! Can't wait to see what you do!!!

Her party will be so cute! I e-mailed you this morning with some fabric ideas and I'll be doing the drawing this week-end.

I'm so glad I saved all of my SS dolls. They are back in storage now though, the girls weren't quite ready to play nicely without ruining all the hair.

OK, Heather - I FINALLY emailed you all those links. Hope you get a good idea or two out of them!

Angel~ LOL on the SS hair comment! I'm constantly telling Grace to play nice with the Little Ponies' hair! So wished I still had all of my SS dolls :(

Heather~ I love your blog! Thanks for stopping by :)
