two big "firsts"

UPDATE 07/19/11: Well, I guess I goofed...big time! Noonie kindly reminded me that we took Hudson to the movies last summer, when Grace wanted to see the Veggie Tales. I'd totally forgotten! Ooops! Hmmm...is this what people call "mommy brain"? And does it get worse the more kids you have?? Uh-oh.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hudson had two big firsts this past weekend:
first time going to the movies and first time sleeping in a big boy bed!!

Saturday we took the littles to see
Winnie the Pooh. It was only 1 hr. 9 min. so we figured it was the perfect duration for Hudson's first trip to the movies.

I think he was more interested in the snacks than the movie itself, but he did SO GOOD!!! And don't ask me what this fashion statement was all about - I have no clue - but I'm learning to let go of the little things...If you go see Winnie the Pooh, stay all the way until the credits are over for a little surprise...thanks for the tip, Amy H!!...Grace said that was her favorite part! Then last night Hudson SLEPT in his BIG BOY BED for the FIRST TIME!!! Here he is checking it out for the first time...My new bed is so cozy and comfy. It's great for playing peek-a-boo......and acting super silly!I LOVE my new bed!!His big boy room is a work in progress - more pics later - but we couldn't wait until it was finished to let him try out his new bed. Thank you Noonie & Papa J for his fun new bed!

Thanks for sharing the tip about staying through the credits. I took my little one to see Winnie the Pooh today. It was her first movie in the theater too. So cute! :)

What a cute bed, where did you find it at? Looking for a black twin bed for my son who's name is Hudson as well :-)

Hi, Kristine~
How fun that your son's name is also Hudson!! The bed is a dark brown - espresso, I believe the tag read. It's from Ashley Furniture.
