monday hodgepodgerie

Wow, was this ever a Monday! A cold, rainy monday full of the usual menu-planning, grocery list making, laundry doing, clothes ironing everyday stuff. Not wanting to take the littles out in the rain, I didn't even get a chance to go to the grocery store until both were cozy in their little beds. But we managed to squeeze in some fun too!

I love Easter crafts and to celebrate the beginning of March the little pumpkin and I made the quickest, cutest little bUnnY.

Of course Grace quickly told me Lucy - later renamed Lucy Goosey - needed some carrots "for munching...you know Mama, bunnies get REALLY hungry".

Now, if you've been around a while you know I love bows on little girls. Big bows must be a southern tradition, huh? Anyhow, as much as I love bows, I've been looking for something a little different to go with the little pumpkin's Easter dress. And today I found it! Isn't it cute? I really hope it stays in her hair well. We'll see! I got it from Alexis' My Sweet Sunshine etsy shop. Best part...it was only $10! And if you want an even better deal, become her friend on FB and receive a code for $5 off a $15 order. Check out the details HERE. And so now this fun little number is on its way too :) Thanks to my grocery store procrastination, our pantry was pretty bare this afternoon as I was racking my brain trying to come up with something for dinner. Luckily a jar of chunky salsa saved the day - and no, I did not feed my family nachos :) Have you tried Kraft's foil-pack taco chicken??? It's one of our family's favorites and soooooooo easy too! I usually don't bother with the potatoes as I like to serve the chicken over broken up tortilla chips and with a side of mexican or spanish rice. Yum-O. Oh, and I also use Cheddar Jack grated cheese blend instead of the mexican cheese in the recipe. I'm thinking next time I'll try a variation and use the Ranch dressing powder mix for the rub and add little bacon bits for garnish. I'll let you know how it goes!

Tomorrow is going to be a pretty busy day so I decided to give myself a little head start by baking a batch of these yummy bAnaNA nUt mUffINs for a midnight snack breakfast. And speaking of bananas...here's Grace's first knock knock joke:

Knock Knock
Who's There?
Banana
Banana who?
Mama!
(followed by the silliest, cutest little girl's laugh ever!)

It makes absolutely no sense but gets her giggling so cute I start laughing and so it goes OVER and OVER again :) On second thought...think she's trying to tell me something???????

Well, that's it for tonight. The house smells so good. It's going to be SwEEt dReAMs indeed!
