totally random

It's been a week of ups and downs. Lots of craziness. Lots of ER and doctor's visits. Soooooo glad it's Friday!!!!

First up, here's the owl I made at Grace's {pottery painting playdate}...not bad for a first timer!!  And yes, the bottom ended up a different shade of coral than the top...that's what I get for running out of paint and not writing down what color I had in the first place - boo!
Having fun with St. Paddy's at school today...yes, it was a lunchable kind of day!  I much prefer the {all green lunch from last year} but this quickie version worked too.  But notice the glasses...
Ha!  Yes, they both had a blast with those!!
Today we had the Kindergarten Easter Lunch at Grace's school and parents and siblings were invited.  We had fun having lunch with our little kindergartener, but I have to say......there is a reason I pack her lunch!!  We ended up going out to eat afterward at our favorite Chinese restaurant.  Hudson was quite the entertainer...
Have you ever visited your littles' school cafeteria??  Oh my, it is SOOOO loud!!  In all the commotion we didn't get a family pic, but we did get one of Grace and her BFF Savannah...two peas in a pod!
I wanted to send some treats for Grace to share with her classmates {Hudson missed school yesterday and he doesn't have school on Fridays, so we'll be sending something on Monday}, but with the kind of week we had, we had to go with simple...
I think these marshmallow pops with shamrock silly straws turned out cute!  Grace said the kids devoured them so I guess they were pretty good!
We loved the ballet, Segi! Thanks for the tickets!!
My poor little Hudson.  Saturday night we had a new dryer installed.  Lance was cleaning the kitchen and I was checking out the clubhouse we ended up using for Grace's birthday.  In all his 3 y/o curiosity, Hudson decided to open the door to the dryer mid-cycle and stick his hand all the way to the back, right on the vent.  Minutes later we were in the ER with this little hand...
Oh, my heart was breaking in a million pieces for my little guy.  He was so brave, but he was in a lot of pain.  I won't go into the details but we had a horrible ER experience.  I went to our closest ER, but I should have gone to the children's hospital.  Lesson learned for me, for sure
I ended up refusing the procedure the ER doctor wanted to do on his hand and I'm so glad I did!  Thank you for meeting me in the ER, Noonie!  The follow-up with his Pedi confirmed I made the right decision and had I gone along with what the ER doctor wanted to do, he could have been exposed to major infection.  This was the following morning...hurts my heart to just look at it :((
And this was today...six days after it happened.  His skin has been healing beautifully!  Thank you God for the answered prayer!  And speaking of prayers, please keep my mom in yours, will you?  She's had some scary symptoms and we've made a couple of ER trips.  We are hoping this last one with a new doctor and a new possibility will do the trick.  Thank you!
Oh, and let's just end on a happy note, what do ya say?  Yes?  I LOVE SPRING!  It was a gorgeous, breezy, sunny, 80° day here today!  Sure makes up for the craziness that has been Daylight Savings Time this year for us - you too?  And you know what I also loooooove???!  Spring Clothes!!! :)
This was for Spring picture day at the little pumpkin's school this past Tuesday.  My goodness, they have a lot of picture days!!  What I thought was Spring pictures a couple of weeks ago was just "group picture day".  Oh well, I sure do love pictures...he he he.
Hope you have a great weekend!
