swirly twirly gumdrops!

Yesterday was the little pumpkin's Preschool Party! I fell in love with this sweet invite (originally created for a holiday play date) by Jessica of Party Box Designs, so we tweaked it for the preK party. Isn't it cute??! One thing I've learned about preschoolers is how much they anticipate dates & events. Grace's teacher has a little clock by the front door that they turn according to what activity they are doing at the moment, like enrichment, lunch, field trip, etc. Grace loves that thing!
Love this little sign today too! It was a whirlwind of an hour full of ornament crafting, cupcake decorating, sandwich making, book reading, gift exchanging, photo taking... First up: Ornament Station!
The littles had fun decorating pinecone ornaments to put on their Christmas trees at home.
Thank you Angela for coordinating this fun craft activity!! Hard at work... All done!Next up: Cupcake Decorating!
Now, I should have planned a bit better to know that my idea of 3 kids at the cupcake station / 3 kids at the sandwich station / 3 kids at the photobooth would go out the door once the kids heard the words: MAKE.YOUR.OWN.CUPCAKE! HA! Yes, we had a bit of a traffic jam at the cupcake station so I don't have any good pictures to share :(

Oh, well, live & learn! Grace's masterpiece! Cookie Cutter Sandwiches
Maybe having the sandwich making station next to the cupcake decorating station wasn't the brightest idea either...next year, how about we come up with the activities and let you two, Mrs. Bryan & Mrs. Peterson, place the stations!
Snack Time! Book Reading!I should probably call it Book Reciting since Emma's grandpa had The Night Before Christmas memorized!! It was so much fun listening to him & watching him act it out!! Since all the kiddos were in one place, we took this opportunity to present Mrs. Bryan and Mrs. Peterson with gift cards, a gift from their class. Photo Booth!
My friend Cori had the cutest Christmas cards of her littles...photo booth style! She was kind enough to let me borrow her props for the party. THANK YOU, Cori!!! Meet the cast...

Gift Exchange!
We saved the best for last! The kids took turns picking numbers and then finding their gifts under the tree.
Christmas morning preview??? I'd say the Gift Exchange was a big hit! Thank you Mrs. Bryan for the suggestion!! Thank you Angela & Talicia for helping me plan and thank you to all the parents for bringing all sorts of treats!!

What an amazing Fall semester this has been! Thank you Mrs. Bryan & Mrs. Peterson - you guys are the best!
(and thank you Miss Kaylen for being such a great sport!!!)
