ho ho ho cookies

A couple of months ago we made these goblin treats for halloween but I had no idea Taste of Home had a Christmas version until my friend Angel told me about them. Boy am I glad she did!

This was the perfect activity to do with the little pumpkin on a cold, rainy day. We donned on our matching aprons - yes, we're cheesy like that - and while the boys bonded over football, us girls had fun in the kitchen.

You can find the recipe
HERE. And while you're there, check out one of our go-to recipes Kid Pleasing Spaghetti. Super easy and yumm-O. Even reheats well, but you probably won't have leftovers anyway ;)

Alright back to the cookies. We had all the ingredients on hand except for the red hots so I just substituted mini m&m's for those. Grace's first task was to find and pull out all the red minis (who knew all those potty reward treats would come in handy!) For Grace, stirring is like playing with glue. She loves it! I pretty much did the first one, except for the nose. That was all hers :) A little break for chocolate milk... and then back to work. Look at mine, Mama!!! So proud of her creation! I think they turned out really cute! And the best part...a sugary sweet afternoon treat! Aren't they cute??? I think we just found the treats to make for Grace's Christmas party at school :)

Thanks for telling us about these, Angel!
