Dancing Queen

About a week and half ago, the little pumpkin wrapped up her 6-week Summer Ballet lessons with a little performance. Not really a recital, but all the mothers were able to come in the studio and observe the entire class instead of peering through the tiny studio door window (like we did all summer...he, he, he).

Not the best photos but I wanted to preserve this little memory for us.

One part ballerina... ...one part curious monkey! The warm-up This was probably the girls' favorite part. Each little ballerina had a turn holding the magic wand and dancing around a little circle, sprinkling "magic dust" along the way. Tiny dancers all in a row...aren't they cute??!! And this was probably my favorite!! Right before they switched out to tap, their instructor told them to let loose and do a little freestyle...you can see Grace took her at her word! This has "Phoebe" all over it! Can you tell they're having fun?? Every so often she would stop and give me this look, sort of like, are you watching me?? :) This was part of their "Hip Hop Baby" routine. Ta Da! This one is pure Grace, showing off her "shy" side :) Actually, she was really sad that it was over...tears and all. She didn't want it to end. So we decided to sign her up for the school year!
The summer was our tryout. We wanted to see if she really liked it before committing to lessons year round.
Thank you Noonie for gifting her with ballet lessons!

She is gonna love it. Lily is my piano girl, but Sophie loves to dance! You got some fabulous shots. Love those action pics!

So cute! I hope Grace loves dance as much as my girls do. We have had so many wonderful years of dance - such sweet memories for me.

You're welcome sweetheart. I LOVE to see how much Grace enjoys dancing (at the studio and at home!) and all the new "steps" that she comes up with.
Both Grace and Hudson fill my life with indescribable joy and I am so grateful to God for having them (and you!) as blessings in my life.
All my love, always,
Mom/Noonie

Thanks ladies!! She definitely loves it! These past couple of weeks during the break before the fall session starts she's been asking...and asking...and asking when ballet is going to start back up!!

Thanks again mom for giving her the gift of dance lessons!
