a tale of 2 trees

The year Grace was born I found the sweetest little tree for her room...a pale pink, vintage-inspired tree. She loves baking and helping me in the kitchen so it was only fitting that we decorate her tree with cookie-themed ornaments, like this sweet one - a gift from her friend Amelia. This one we found at Kohl's this year.I love how her sweet little tree looks in her room! Visions of Sugarplums all the way around! This year I set out to find the perfect tree for Hudson's room. I've kicked myself over & over again that I didn't buy the aqua blue and creamy white versions of Grace's tree when I had the chance...they just don't make them like that anymore. But.........I found a fun little tinsel tree for his room nonetheless!Yes, it's the same one from the Cookie Party...I like to "borrow" things around the house. ;)

And then on a shopping trip for a completely different item, I hit the jackpot at Kohl's!!! Their St. Nicholas collection included an entire Circus line!Perfect for my little guy's room! Love this one! I think I need to go back and get more of these...These 2 little trees bring me such joy every time I walk in Grace & Hudson's rooms. I hope they love them too!

And lest the rest of the house get jealous...there are little trees sprinkled here and there in almost every room. By the stove...
On the baker's rack... But my most favorite tree in the house stands just 5 inches tall...meet Petunia the Pig and her little tree!Next up, the remake of my usual vintage ornament collection and our Bake Day...stay tuned!

Ha! I found the ornament Amelia gave Grace at Kohl's as well! And when I saw the circus line I immediately thought of Hudson!!! Neat! Both trees are cute! You may want to check Hobby Lobby during Easter for the little blue trees. I bought one last year.

Love the circus/carnival ornaments. I loaded up on those to use for my son's upcoming carnival birthday party. I also have the same "Grace" ornaments for my daughter. Great taste!

LOVE the pig!!Was it something that flowers came in? My mom saved all of the cute vases like that from when she had me. I have them in my little girls rooms. I have saved the ones I got each time I had my little ones. I just love them!
